I LOVE canvas of course, and although I will always enjoy using my stretched, bouncy canvas as a base for my paintings……. I am excited by all the other applications my art can be pushed to…. such as the T Shirts being produced be Canned Clothing ..such fun…
The crazy Water-themed Pomona Art Wall that I worked on recently…Together with Miracle Missions, The Australian Embassy and the Greenmongers sponsored myself and student Chiedza Bvundura of School of Visual Art & Design…..the completed result…. Dustbins are not too crazy to paint on either, especially when one is trying to green up the Harare city environment….such as for the Waste no Waste exhibition of bins painted by various Zimbabwean artists and sponsored by the Italian Embassy in Harare…
A burnt door, remnants of our house fire, has become something else…..
Wine labels are wonderful things, and I am honored to have had two of my paintings used for such by Painted Wolf Wines, with the added bonus that wines themselves are delicious! Pictus One
to be enjoyed especially in the very place I often see and sketch African wild dogs…Gonarezhou National Park and Chilo Gorge Safari Lodge!
A very exciting collaboration with Spanish Fashion Art Designer, Manuel Fernandez, is happening …a few lucky Zimbabwean artists have been invited to createart for his dramatic collection of art dresses, an exhibition to be held initially in Zimbabwe, which will then tour the world!
Plus, HOT off the press:
I will shortly commence work on a “flying” wild dog….watch this space…..
